Getting involved with The Bridge Project is a great way to make a difference in our community. You will come away with a profound sense of respect for the children with whom you work and a wonderful sense of knowing that you added to a child's life.

This is a wonderfully fulfilling volunteer opportunity in which a volunteer is matched with a child for the school year. The Tutor and Tutee spend one hour a week together at one of our locations in public housing.

Volunteers generally propose a day and time that works best for their schedule within the Afterschool Programming hours. Current program hours are Monday through Thursday between 3:00pm and 8:00pm. The Bridge Project provides all the training and support that you'll need.

Become a tutor in 4 easy steps:

1.  Register for an introductory session

2. Print and complete the volunteer application. Please bring the completed form to the introductory session.

3.  Attend the introductory session.

4. You will be matched with a student and begin tutoring!

Tutoring Highlights

It is a real privilege to be involved as a tutor with The Bridge Project. Working with Noor has made my experience especially full of richness and one I am very grateful for. Watching him grow, mature, and learn and improve his academic skills has been a gift beyond measure!
