Position Summary

The Director of Development, Leadership Annual Giving for the Bridge Project reports directly to the Executive Director of Annual and Leadership Giving as a part of the Global Networks team in Advancement. This position is focused on helping the Bridge Project, housed in the Graduate School of Social Work, grow the base of its philanthropic support. The role is focused heavily on qualification of prospects, cultivating relationships and soliciting those with capacity to give gifts of $1,000 - $50,000. The incumbent will serve in a highly outbound capacity carrying between 150-175 meetings per year with approximately 70% of those visits targeted for solicitation. Upon qualifying prospects, the incumbent will solicit for a gift, recommend the relationship be fostered through alumni engagement, connect the individual with the career center, or involve other development officers to solicit a larger gift. Success in this position will be measured primarily through the number of visits secured and the number of relationship referrals made. Annual metrics will also include participation rate of prospects engaged and number of solicitations.
